Horse Activities

Things to know:

DIn the cottages members of “Le grand 8”, such as “La Pelaisse”, horses will always have pasture, sometimes stables and will find everywhere a complementary food (cereal or foodstuffs). Anti-rabies vaccine is no longer compulsory in the Jura but anti-flu vaccine can be required at the stable.

The advice from our Tourism Office:

There is a 1500km local network called “Jura du Grand 8”. For your ride or a trek, on one of the network paths, don’t hesitate to search the website: www.jura-grand-huit.com.

Beginner or expert riders, children or adults, please come and discover the fun of horse riding following the marked paths.

Equestrian center “La Pelaisse”:

This equestrian farm is located in the middle of nature, close to pine trees and offers riders the possibility to be immediately in a calm environment, ideal for a peaceful ride. Horses from “La Pelaisse” are bred in herd, around the farm.

Rides can be for an hour, half a day or a complete day with picnic or warm lunch.

Several days treks will take you into the wonderful landscapes of the “Haut Jura”. It is possible to organize guided treks during the summer and rides on snow are proposed during winter.

The farm offers several activities all year long and welcomes individuals or groups in half board stays. Groups can be up to 12 people: riders, hikers, families.
