The bike park in Longchaumois

The advice of the Tourism Office:

For your safety, wearing a helmet is mandatory, as much as following the waymarked paths and respecting the prohibitions, private properties and closing fences so animals won’t escape.

The new place for all mountain bikers who like sensations is in “Longchaumois” with a new and unique free access site: a bike park!

This site has been thought and designed by François Bailly-Maître, professional mountain biker (twice winner of “La Forestière”) who is from the village. The bike park is suitable to everyone, whatever the level of technic in mountain bike.

At the starting point, located at “Les Combes” between “Longchaumois” and “Cinquétral”, a board represents all the laid out paths. They are all waymarked and secured for an easy and comfortable use.

An initiation area is accessible from the starting point: steps, bridges, high curves…many fun and technic facilities to allow beginners to improve themselves and take confidence on their mountain bike. This place is perfect to try most of the difficulties that will be found in the park.

The bike park has 6 paths:

  1. Easy Ride : green track, easy and with a low difference in eight
  2. Montagnes Russes (roaller coaster): blue track with successive curves and a more technical second part to reach the bottom of the paths
  3. La TGV (High Speed Train): red track, nice downhill and curved, pretty fast in between trees
  4. Allez les bleus (Go Blues!): blue rack with successive natural curves and sensation of speed!
  5. Jody Jumper : red track with various banking, steeply slopes and banked curves
  6. Woodies Rocks : Black track, the most difficult, very curvy with some jumps

All tracks join into the bottom of the slopes which allows the mountain biker to choose in between going back uphill at the starting point of all track or a direct way to the parking lot.
